AUSTIN – Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND and Speaker Dade Phelan announced their joint support of State Rep. Glenn Rogers (R-Graford) in his race for House District 60.

AGFUND is contributing $50,000 to Rep. Rogers’ campaign, and Speaker Phelan is matching AGFUND’s contribution for a combined total of $100,000.

“In his first term representing HD 60, Glenn Rogers has already demonstrated he is one of the hardest workers in the Texas House,” said Speaker Phelan. “As a sixth generation Texas rancher, he understands the needs of farmers and ranchers across the state. Glenn embodies the conservative values of rural Texas, and it is vital he returns to the Texas House to be a strong voice for public education, agriculture, our natural resources, property rights and limited government.”

“When you have a proven champion for agriculture, rural communities and conservative values, you have to fight to keep them in the Texas House. Dr. Rogers has been that champion,” said Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND President Russell Boening. “Our Farm Bureau members in House District 60 recognize that he was a strong voice for them last session. And, they want to keep that voice in Austin. Our contribution reflects how important it is to our members to re-elect Dr. Glenn Rogers.”

Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) mission is to be the voice for Texas agriculture. TFB has over 535,000 member-families.
