Jim Landtroop has been endorsed by Governor Perry, Lt Governor Dewhurst, and Attorney General Abbott. At least two of them are doing spots for him as well. Ken King has been endorsed by former opponents Gary Walker and Mac Smith.
That district would be expected to produce a majority of the vote from the south end, below Plainview. That would favor Landtroop. However, interest in Warren Chisum’s runoff may result in most of the votes coming from the north end of the district. That would favor King.
