Governor Abbott: HD 125 Special Election Set for February 12, 2019

Governor Greg Abbott has set the HD 125 Special Election date for HD 125 for February 12, 2019. Former Texas State Representative Justin Rodriguez resigned his seat effective January 4, 2019 to replace former Bexar County Commissioner Paul Elizondo who died unexpectedly at the age of 83 on December 27, 2018. Rodriguez was first elected to the Texas House in 2012.
 
The filing deadline for this seat is 5:00 PM, January 14th for all interested candidates. Early voting begins January 28, 2019.
