The special runoff election for Texas’ vacant 6th Congressional District seat is set for Tuesday, July 27th, 2021. Early voting will begin Monday, July 19th, 2021. The runoff will fill the vacancy left by the late U.S. Representative Ron Wright (R-Arlington), and features two Republican candidates: Susan Wright (R-Arlington), the widow of the late representative, and Jake Ellzey (R-Waxahachie), who is currently serving as the representative for Texas House District 10.

Governor Greg Abbott set the election date via a May 12th proclamation.
