“A new AARP Texas survey finds that voters 50 and older remain one of the state’s most engaged voting groups and could have a significant impact on the outcome of Texas’s competitive Senate and gubernatorial elections. Eighty-four percent of voters age 50-plus rate themselves as extremely motivated to vote, compared with 70% of voters under age 50. Older voters also comprise a substantial share of the Texas electorate, making their priorities especially important in the months leading up to Election Day. ”
