Van Taylor announces campaign for Congress

In a video to supporters, Sen. Van Taylor today announced his candidacy for United States Congress, declaring his resolve to fight for conservative solutions and to work every day to safeguard resident’s freedom. Taylor is running to replace Congressman Sam Johnson, who announced in January his plans to retire after the conclusion of the current Congress.

Taylor’s announcement video began as he remembered watching the Pentagon burn during the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks, stating, “It was a tragic reminder of how fragile our freedom can be and that we have to fight to protect it.” Taylor continued by recounting his commitment to…(read more)
